STATUS

VABA of Southern California is a 501(c)(6) tax-exempt organization. Contributions or gifts to VABA of Southern California are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, membership dues may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses and contributions or gifts may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. MISSION

The objectives of VABA of Southern California are to foster the exchange of ideas and information among and between Association members and other members of the legal profession, the judiciary and the community; to encourage and promote the professional growth of the members of the Association; to provide an opportunity for fellowship among the Association’s members; to provide coordinated service to the general and local community; to develop and encourage inter-cooperation with other organizations of minority attorneys; and to provide a vehicle and forum for the unified expression of opinions and positions by the Association upon current social, political, economic, legal or other matters or events of concern to the members of the Association.
